“The only way around is through”
Robert Frost wrote, “The only way around is through.” I was thinking about that today in the carpool line — not exactly a place for deep reflection, but maybe that’s where most of them happen. We spend so much time trying to go around what hurts, to fix or avoid the hard parts. But life, in its quiet way, keeps nudging us back to what we’d rather skip. Going through doesn’t mean we have to like it/enjoy it; it just means we’re willing to meet it. Sometimes that’s all it takes — a breath, a pause at a red light, a small reminder that even in the most ordinary moments, we’re still moving through.
